RALEIGH, N.C. — Viewer tips helped authorities arrest a woman caught on tape robbing a local bank.
Early Thursday evening, Raleigh police officers and members of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force took Kristen Whych into custody. Police say Whych robbed the Crescent State Bank on Falls of Neuse Road on Tuesday. Surveillance cameras at the bank caught her in the act.
Authorities said the investigation of the case is continuing, and a male accomplice who was with Whych at the time of the robbery remains at large.
