CLAYTON, N.C. — A man who barged into the Caterpillar plant in Clayton could spend up to 17 years in prison.
Michael Akins pleaded guilty to a string of kidnapping and assault charges.
In January, Akins went to the Caterpillar plant demanding to see his girlfriend.
Police said he pulled a gun, took a hostage and stormed through the plant looking for her. No one was hurt.
