JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — More details are coming out about the death of a 4-year-old who investigators say was abused.
According to an autopsy report, Sean Paddock was wrapped tightly with blankets to force him to stay in bed.
The autopsy report said on the third night the blankets were used, the child suffocated. Lynn Paddock, Sean's adoptive mother, is charged with first-degree murder.
The Johnston County district attorney will decide next week whether to pursue the death penalty against Paddock.
Paddock's attorney insists the death was accidental, not punishment or discipline.
