Cumberland Slaying Suspect Surrenders To Authorities

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man wanted in connection with the death of a man found in a ditch has surrendered to authorities.

Bakhiyia Douglas turned himself in to sheriff's detectives Wednesday. He is charged with second-degree murder. Investigators say the victim, Curtis Green, was beaten to death.

Douglas' bond has been set at $40,000. His first court appearance is scheduled for Thursday.

Authorities are looking for another suspect. Nathaniel Solomon is being charged as an accessory after the fact.
