Additional Charges Could Be Filed Against Charter Bus Driver in Georgia

Posted Updated

ST. MARY'S , GA. — A grand jury in Georgia will not hear the evidence this month in the case involving a Fayetteville charter bus driver.

Darol Britt was the driver behind the wheel of the charter bus that crashed near St. Marys, Georgia injuring dozens of students from Fayetteville's Massey Hill Classical High School.

A report from the Georgia State Patrol indicates Britt fell asleep while driving and that is what caused the April accident.

The Camden County District Attorney's Office says the paperwork has not been turned over to their office, so additional charges by the grand jury will not be considered this month.
