FAYETTEVILLE — A shooting in Fayetteville Monday morning left one brother dead at the scene, and the other died in surgery.

Around 2:00 a.m. Monday, Fayetteville Police say 20-year-old Johnny Jones Jr, and 18-year-old Jermaine Jones, both of Spring Lake, were sitting in a car behind Popeye's Chicken on Bragg Boulevard when a group of people came up to them and started shooting.

Jermaine Jones was hit in the chest and died in surgery Monday morning at Cape Fear Valley Hospital. Johnny Jones jumped out of the car, was shot twice and killed. Police do not have a suspect yet.
