RALEIGH — The man thought to be responsible for a hit-and-run accident Saturday night is still at large Sunday morning.
A black Chevrolet Cavalier crossed the center line on Poole Road and hit a red Camaro in front of the Poole Road Mini-mart. Police detained the passenger in the Cavalier, but he was not charged. The driver, Alberto Tolentino, is still at large.
"I was sitting on my front porch when the black car came from nowhere and it hit the red car in a head-on collision," said witness Katie Andrews.
The two adults and the infant in the Camaro were taken to WakeMed. Their names and conditions have not been released. Police believe the driver was also responsible for two other hit-and-run accidents last night.
