KENLY, N.C. — Johnston County investigators are releasing few details about the shooting deaths of three teenagers Thursday afternoon.
During a press conference Friday morning, Capt. Dale Wheeler of the Johnston County Sheriff's Office says investigators are waiting on autopsy results of victims Marnie Rose Warren, 19, Brandon Keith Warren, 14, and Bradley Kyle Warren, 13.
Their bodies were sent to the medical examiner in Chapel Hill. Preliminary results could be available Friday afternoon.
Wheeler says parents Nissa and Kent Warren have been cooperating with authorities. He says they are not considered suspects at this time, but have not been ruled out, either. Investigators say they have not ruled out suicide.
Nissa is the mother of all three teens, while Kent is the father of the two boys.
Wheeler says Nissa Warren called 911 around 3 p.m. Thursday after discovering the bodies of her children in the family's mobile home.
"The deputies arrived, and upon arrival it was discovered that three teenagers were deceased in the house," says Capt. Dale Wheeler.
Investigators say all three had gunshot wounds and that at least one weapon has been recovered from the scene.
The home on Hickory Crossroads Road is outside of Princeton, just south of Kenly, near the Wilson County line.
The SBI is assisting with the investigation.
