New Law Allows Younger Students To Take Community College Classes
Posted July 22, 2001
RALEIGH — Some gifted youngsters can now challenge themselves by taking community college courses.
Governor Easley this week signed into law a measure giving gifted students younger than 16 a place on community college campuses.
Community college presidents will have the final say on admitting the younger students. They will only accept those who are deemed academically and socially prepared to handle college.
