Fayetteville Considers Slower Speed Limit

print friendly

The Fayetteville city council is expected to discuss changing speed limits on all residential streets Monday.

Right now, the speed limit is 35 miles per hour. Council members may reduce the speed to 25 miles per hour.

The city of Fayetteville says it is responding to citizen complaints about speeding cars.

If the switch is made, the city will need about 900 new speed limit signs at a cost of nearly $54,000.

The council meeting begins 7 p.m. at City Hall.
