Posted Updated

SELMA, N.C. — Amtrak service between the Northeast and Florida has resumed.

Crews fixed the Little River Bridge in Johnston County.

CSX shut down the bridge Wednesday after an inspector found it to be unsafe.

The problem affected about 50 trains, including 10 Amtrak routes along the East Coast.
