Durham Teen Charged After Shots Fired At Police

DURHAM, N.C. — Police in Durham arrested a teenager after they say he fired shots at an undercover officer.
The incident happened near Driver and Ashe streets, which is off Angier Avenue.
Part of Angier Avenue was shut down overnight while police investigated the incident.
Officers were looking for a robbery suspect around 10:30 p.m. when they say 17-year-old Linwood Clay came off a porch and started shooting at an officer.
The officer returned fire, but no one was hurt.
Clay is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, among other charges.
