Chapel Hill Festival Shortens Hours

Posted Updated

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — You'll have less time to linger at one popular Triangle festival. Chapel Hill police will start sending people home a little earlier at this year's Apple Chill Street Fair.

Authorities typically block off several downtown streets for the event. The town's police chief says security concerns grow with the size of the crowd. Officials are expecting a record 15,000 people this year.

Apple Chill is Sunday, April 23. The festival will end at 6 p.m.
