Software Firm Geomagic Opens Office in Japan

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Geomagic

, a developer of 3D related software and services, is expanding to Japan.

The company's new office is located in Tokyo.

"Our Japanese customers recognize the positive impact the Geomagic solution brings to their design and inspection needs," said Jim Johnson, vice president of sales for Geomagic. "Establishing this office demonstrates our commitment to Japanese industrial markets and manufacturing customers and supports our objective to increase customer's competitive advantage with Geomagic products."

The office was opened in response to what Geomagic said was increasing demand from design, engineering, inspection and manufacturing organizations, including automotive, industrial and consumer manufacturers.

Geomagic customers in Japan include Toyota, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Nissan, Mazda and Toshiba.

Geomagic also has international offices in China, Singapore, Germany and Hungary.
