RALEIGH — A house fire broke out near downtown Raleigh Thursday afternoon.
The fire happened at a two-story boarding house at the intersection of Bloodworth and Edenton Streets in Raleigh. Fire officials say the top story of the boarding house was completely destroyed.
Only one person was home at the time. He says he had just gotten out of the shower when he heard a stranger yelling for him to get out.
It took firefighters about more than an hour to put the fire out. Right now, they do not know the cause.
