Jacksonville Woman Who Died May Have Had Financial Difficulties

Robin Parker was found dead with her three children Tuesday afternoon in the garage of their home. An autopsy report released Wednesday said all four died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Jacksonville authorities received a complaint Tuesday from a landlord at Ravenwood Apartments about Parker, who was a maintenance coordinator there.

"Ms. Parker, for a period of several months, had rented a number of apartments without the knowledge or authority of the owners," says Deputy Chief Bill Biggly of the Jacksonville Police Department. "The money that was involved in the rentals of six apartments was kept by Ms. Parker and not given to the owners."

Police did not get a chance to confront Parker with the allegations before she was found dead. They did confirm that the landlord did confront her earlier about $9,000 in missing money.

Fernando Crispin says he and other apartment tenants got in trouble with the landlord when the landlord discovered that they were living in the apartments and not paying any rent for them.

"The same day that Robin died, the landlord was telling us that she was supposed to come over at 11 and explain to all of the tenants that we might have to go to court," he says. "She was supposed to be here at 11 in the morning but she never showed up."

Court records indicate that there were several other companies going after Parker for bad debts. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
