Parents Of School Bus Crash Victims Will Sue

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE — The families of two Fayetteville high school students injured in a charter bus accident are suing.

The parents of Patricia Mathis and those of David Thomas say they hope someone claims responsibility for the accident.

They are suing for damages in excess of $10,000.

Mathis and Thomas were among 46 people on board the bus that crashed April 6 near the Georgia-Florida border. The lawsuits name several people, including Darol Britt, the bus driver, AMA Tours Incorporated, the bus company, and the Cumberland County Board of Education.
