CARY — A Cary sign ordinance is putting a limit on a grocery store's patriotism.
The Kroger on Maynard Road put up an American flag that was too big on a flag pole that was too high.
A Cary zoning officer caught wind of it, and told Kroger's to take it down, and the store complied with the order.
Cary says it is fine for businesses to put up American flags as long as they are within the town's size restrictions.
