Four Injured In Johnston County Wreck

— Four people were injured in a wreck along Highway 42 East near Clayton Tuesday morning.

The accident, involving three vehicles, happened around 8:35 a.m. just west of Highway 96 at the intersection of Hwy 42 and Thanksgiving Fire Road.

Highway Patrol troopers say the driver of a blue Ford ran a stop sign and forced a delivery truck into the path of a pickup truck.

One person suffered serious injuries.

A section of the highway was closed in both directions for about two hours.
