Cary Dog Law More Bark Than Bite

Posted Updated

CARY, NC — A law restricting the number of dogs you can have in Cary seems to be a lot more bark than bite.

Judy Robinson-Pierce lives in Preston Village and was cited by the town for having more than two dogs. The case was dismissed in a Wake County District Court Monday.

Attornies say there are better ways to handle neighbor complaints, for example noise and nuisance ordinances.

The Preston Village Homeowners Association may still take civil action against Robinson-Pierce because she is also violating their neighborhood covenant.
