Three Arrested In Chatham Armed Robbery, Kidnapping Case

CHATHAM COUNTY, N.C. — Chatham County authorities made three arrests Wednesday in connection with an armed robbery/kidnapping investigation of a teenage boy in Robeson County.

Law enforcement officers surrounded a home located in Siler City near Bonlee after spotting a stolen 2000 Ford F-150 pickup truck that was used in the crime behind the residence.

When authorities entered the residence, they found the boy, who was unharmed, and arrested three people -- Victor Aguilar, 38, Israel Pabon-Ocasio, 31, and Josue Cruz, 29.

During a search of the residence, authorities found three handguns, as well as drugs and cash.

Aguilar was charged with felonious possession of marijuana, felonious possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and felonious possession of cocaine, felonious maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cruz and Ocasio were charged with the same crimes and additionally with felonious kidnapping, felonious robbery with a dangerous weapon, felonious larceny of a motor vehicle and assault with a deadly weapon.

All three men are in jail, each under a $150,000 secured bond.
