RALEIGH, N.C. — The recent crackdown on Interstate 85 speeders yielded lots of heavy-footed motorists.
The Highway Patrol handed out more than 600 tickets. The campaign hit last week in Vance and Warren counties. The Highway Patrol says most of the drivers ticketed were caught going at least 10 miles over the speed limit, which is 75 miles per hour.
