DURHAM, N.C. — A woman hit by a Durham police cruiser is taking her complaints to the State Supreme Court.
Linda Jones claims Officer Joseph Kelly violated police orders when he struck her as she walked down Liberty Street six years ago. The officer was headed to a call.
Her attorney claims the city destroyed evidence in the case.
The accident left Jones disabled. She wants the city to cover her medical expenses.
