RALEIGH, N.C. — Round one in a water battle between Rolesville and Raleigh is over, but the fight is not.
Rolesville officials were set to annex a development built on the Little River watershed, but Raleigh officials said they would not supply water to the new line.
City leaders worry about how development would affect what they consider to be an important future water source.
The debate was so fierce the developer withdrew his petition for annexation.
