WILSON, N.C. — Wilson authorities arrested a man on charges that he tried to kill his mother and sister.
Wilson police responded to a residence at 402 Oak Ave., at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in reference to a stabbing. When they arrived, they found Sonja Harris and a 15-year-old female victim inside the residence suffering from multiple stab wounds to the upper chest and back area.
Police later arrested Montez Harris at an Econo Lodge hotel and placed him into custody. He is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder.
Sonja Harris was treated and released from Wilson Medical Center; the juvenile was transported to Pitt Memorial Hospital with more serious injuries.
