Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Six Ku Klux Klan members allegedly involved in a plan to blow up the Johnston County courthouse have agreed to cooperate with investigators.

Prosecutors said the six pleaded guilty to various charges ranging from conspiracy to possession of stolen firearms. Among those who pleaded guilty are Daniel Barefoot and Sharon Renee Barefoot.

The couple are the son and wife of Charles Robert "Junior" Barefoot, a former grand dragon of the North Carolina chapter of The National Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.

Charles Barefoot is in Central Prison in Raleigh. He is one of four people charged in the 2003 slaying of a fellow Klan member.
