Hearing Postponed For Boy Accused Of Providing Lethal Mixture Of Drugs To Teen

Posted Updated

CARY, N.C. — A 15-year-old Cary boy charged with murder will appear in court has been postponed until April 7.

Police say the juvenile supplied a mixture of drugs that killed 16-year-old Erica Hicks. She died in October.

Hicks was a junior at Southeast Raleigh High School.

At the probable cause hearing, prosecutors are expected to explain why a second-degree murder charge is justified.

The 15-year-old is currently in a juvenile detention center.
