Developers Offer Sneak Peek At Durham's Newest Mall

Posted Updated

DURHAM — Developers offered a sneak peak Tuesday of Durham's newest shopper's paradise.

The Streets of Southpoint is scheduled to open in March 2002. The 1.3 million-square-foot mall is expected to attract shoppers from all over the area.

Retailers say there is enough business to go around for other malls.

"We feel the project we are building is going to be unique and interesting to everyone and entice everyone to visit our shopping center and keep coming back," says developer Ken Marshall.

Cary Towne Center and North Hills Mall in Raleigh are also planning renovations to stay competitive.
