Nintendo's Game Boy Advance Hits Store Shelves

One new feature of the new video game system is that it is compatible with Nintendo's older systems.

"You can play all your old favorite games with the new system, plus they'll be developing new high-end Gameboy Advance games to support the graphics of the new Gameboy Advance system," says store manager Mark Luxemberg.

"It's actually a 32-bit system that's about as powerful as a Playstation," says game player Mike Pinto.

Game Boy Advance offers a bigger screen than the original and has more buttons to play games with. The screen offers brilliant color but it is not backlighted so the more light you put on it, the better.

Nintendo expects to sell 500,000 Game Boy Advance systems this week alone. Twenty games are already on shelves. The games range in price from $30 to $40.
