RALEIGH — This time next year, Raleigh's Entertainment and Sports Arena may have a flashy, new name.
Wake County has apparently signed off on a naming rights agreement. The Carolina Hurricanes, North Carolina State University, the city of Raleigh and the Centennial Authority have already reached a deal.
Under the arrangement, the Hurricanes will do the shopping for a corporate sponsor. The naming rights of a major arena typically go for millions.
