WILSON'S MILLS — So much for buying beer in Wilson's Mills. Johnston County elections officials canvassed votes from Tuesday's referendum on beer and wine sales, and in each instance, the two issues picked up a single "no" vote.
The previous countshowed wine sales losing but beer sales winning.
In the revised count, voters rejected wine sales 65-to-64, and split 66-66 on beer sales. The additional no vote means the beer sales issue is defeated as well.
The town can not consider another vote on beer and wine sales for three years.
