Three Arrested In Connection With Two Area Bank Robberies

RALEIGH — Raleigh police arrested three people Friday morning in connection with two armed bank robberies over the past three months.

Jason Trent Goodine, 24, of Garner, was charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of second-degree kidnapping.

Tysean Sharif Bennett, 24, of Raleigh, was charged with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon. Tonya Jamise Gamer, 21, of Garner, was charged with aiding and abetting after the fact of armed robbery.

Goodine is charged in connection with the March 5 robbery of the First Union Bank at Tower Shopping Center and the June 7 robbery of Bank of America, 5700 Creedmoor Road.

Bennett is charged in connection with the March 5 robbery .

The arrests followed an intensive investigation of the March 5 robbery that involved the assistance of the FBI and Garner police.
