CARY, N.C. — Arysta LifeScience
, which has its U.S. headquarters in Cary, has acquired most of the assets of Micro Flo Company, a subsidiary of BASF Corporation.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Micro Flo is based in Memphis and has a formulation site in Sparks GA. The firm manufactures and distributes crop protection chemicals. It also offers manufacturing and distribution services.
The acquisition also includes a development lab in Georgia plus a portfolio of patents, active ingredients and registration.
BASF retains control of a formulation production facility in Georgia.
"With this acquisition, Arysta LifeScience gains a solid range of products, a proven U.S. distribution network and a capable and experienced sales force with excellent customer relationships," said Christopher Richards, chief executive officer of Arysta. "Adding Micro Flo's operations to our existing presence in North America will give Arysta LifeScience a substantially stronger platform for future growth in the region."
