RDU INTERNATIONAL — Starting Sunday, more flights will be taking off from Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
The new extension of Terminal A opens this weekend -- adding five gates and nearly 46,000 square feet of space.
Continental and Northwest will be flying out of the new area, which is only temporary.
It will eventually be torn down, along with the existing terminal, to make way for a new and improved Terminal A by the end of the decade.
