SMITHFIELD, N.C. — One of the two Johnston County teenagers accused of vandalizing a cemetery remains behind bars.
John Taylor and Justin Byrd, both 16 years old, appeared in court Monday. Byrd is now out on bond.
Police used fingerprints found at Sunset Memorial Cemetery to arrest the teens.
Actress Ava Gardner is buried at the cemetery. Her gravesite was not touched.
