FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville man is dead in a crash involving a motorcycle.
Fayetteville police said Robert George, 41, was traveling 70 mph in a 35 mph speed limit zone on Preston Avenue Saturday evening when he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed.
Emergency workers rushed George to a local hospital, where he died a short time later.
The motorcycle George had been driving was stolen, police said.
