DURHAM, N.C. — One person died as a result of a fire at a Durham assisted-living community late Thursday afternoon.
Sources tell WRAL that the victim was a man, but authorities have not released any other information about the victim.
Emergency workers also treated some people who were inside at the time for smoke inhalation.
Investigators believe the fire started on the fifth floor, but said the cause is still under investigation.
