Former StemCo Exec Launches Firm To Assist Life Science Startups

RALEIGH, NC — Cynthia Pritchard, a former executive with StemCo, is launching a new company to assist life science and medical device startup firms with product development and regulatory submission services.

The firm, called

BioTechnology Transfer

, is based in Raleigh. Pritchard is its chief executive officer.

"BioTechnology Transfer fulfills a large, unmet need for outsourced product development and regulatory submission services in this area," said Pritchard, who was director of development for StemCo before launching the new venture. "Our comprehensive services enable biotech companies to determine concept feasibility, develop marketable products and build their business efficiently."

Bill Usrey, a former operations director of Apogee Medical, is the company's chief operating officer.
