CARY — Many people in the Triangle have heard the jokes about Look At Cary

"I mean everywhere you go, there's a minivan. In fact, it's almost kind of a joke," says one resident. "You go take your kids to soccer and everybody's driving their minivan."

The National Geographic article reports that the median household income in Cary is $60,000, 15 percent of all households include someone with an advanced degree, and between 1970 and 1980, the population nearly tripled.

The magazine also calls Cary one of the best places in the country to live and work.
