RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh police cruiser had to be towed away after an accident.
The accident happened just before midnight Sunday on Capital Boulevard just north of the Beltline.
Investigators say a driver from Georgia turned left on red, right in front of the police officer. The officer could not stop in time, and hit the other car.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital for observation. The officer was not hurt.
