SMITHFIELD, N.C. — The Johnston County Sheriff's Office said the cause of a 4-year-old boy's death will be released Friday.
Sean Paddock died Sunday. His adoptive mother, Lynn Paddock, is accused of killing him.
Lynn Paddock also faces felony abuse charges.
Haddock has seven adopted children in all. Four are in the custody of social services. Two others are with their father.
