Two Suspects Sought In Fayetteville Homicide

Fayetteville police detectives are searching for two suspects in a January shooting death.

Warrants have been issued for Kenneth Harper, 25, and John Stephenson, 19, in connection with the homicide of 45-year-old Virgil Luster.

Luster was parked in his vehicle on Eufaula Street when he was shot to death on Jan. 3.

Authorities said that Harper is a black male with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighs approximately 185 pounds. He is wanted on charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Stephenson is described as a black male with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He is wanted on charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Police said the investigation is continuing and additional charges are forthcoming. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Harper and Stephenson or with information regarding the incident should contact the Fayetteville Police Department's Major Crimes Investigative Bureau at
