DURHAM, N.C. — A pickup truck that wrecked on Interstate 40 caused massive traffic backups near Durham on Wednesday morning.
The wreck closed two of three westbound lanes until 11:35 a.m.

The pickup truck was hauling an enclosed trailer when it slammed into the dividing wall at Fayetteville Road just after 9 a.m.
Traffic was backed up all the way to Alston Avenue at one point during the morning.
Eventually, the truck was hauled off.
There were no reports of injuries or what caused the wreck.
