CARY, N.C. — A woman died after she was hit by a train in Cary on Wednesday morning.
The Amtrak train was heading east from Cary toward Raleigh at 7:10 a.m. when it hit the woman, identified as Mary Nunnery Roberts, 62, at
E. Chatham Street and Maynard Road
.
Officials said that the incident appeared to be a suicide.
Roberts was from Cary.
