Two Cold Case Homicides Solved In Durham

Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham investigators say they've solved two cold cases. In one case, the suspect is dead, while in the other, the suspect is already in prison.

In the first case, investigators say Thomas Couch shot and killed Tommy Snipes at the Blue Ox Tavern in 1982. Couch was murdered several years ago.

A man already serving time for murder pleaded guilty to killing a convenience store clerk in 2003. Investigators say Preston Crisp shot and killed Beth Aboud Yakdani during a robbery attempt. Crisp will be brought to Durham next week to face charges.
