WILSON, N.C. — A well-known Wilson businessman is in jail after being charged with tax evasion.
Edward Mitchell pleaded guilty to several charges. He owned Mitchell's Ribs, Chicken and Barbecue.
As part of his sentence, he received 30 days in prison and three years probation.
Mitchell repaid the State Department of Revenue more than $76,000.
