DUNN, N.C. — A man was found beaten to death in his own home in Harnett County. Authorities say they have few clues and lots of questions.
Charles Baker, 81, was found dead on his living room floor on Saturday. Police have released a composite sketch of the suspect based on witness descriptions of a suspicious person seen in the area shortly before the murder.
"We're getting a lot of good response from the neighborhood over there, and people around there think they know this person, so anybody else who think they have any information related to this [case], we'd appreciated any calls," says Capt. Jerry Lamm of the Harnett County Sheriff Office.
Lamm says it appears the motive for Baker's murder was robbery.
