A Chapel Hill woman is triple-jumping her way onto theU.S. Olympic team.

Nicole Gamble won the triple jump Olympic trial last week in Sacramento. She leaped almost 46 feet. That distance should be enough to make the Olympic team, but Nicole will not know for sure until later.

"I'm on the right path, and hopefully, if I continue to do the right things, everything will fall into place," Gamble says.

Seven otherUNCalumni are in the Olympics this year, more than any school in the country.
