WENDELL — A woman died in a traffic accident in Wendell.
Troopers say a pickup truck ran a stop sign and ran into a car at the intersection of Major Slade and Turnipseed Roads.
One passenger, Donna Griffiths, 62, of Wendell, was killed. The driver of the car is in satisfactory condition in the hospital.
Two passengers in the pick-up truck are in the hospital, including the father of the driver who is in serious condition.
Charges are pending in the incident. Five people in the pick-up truck were hurt, as was a passenger in the Griffith vehicle.
They were all taken to Wake Med, where two are in critical condition.
No other names have been released.
