JOHNSTON COUNTY — An overturned tanker on Highway 70 near Clayton spoiled some drivers' travel plans for the holidays.
A natural gas truck turned over around 6 p.m. Wednesday when it was trying to turn into the T.R. Lee Oil Company. When fire crews arrived on the scene, they had to evacuate local businesses to search for any possible gas leaks.
No one was injured. The gas was later transported from the tanker to a storage facility.
